Google Maps launches stay safer feature in India

Google Maps on June 26 launched yet-another India-first “Stay Safer" feature for its users. The feature will alert and notify users travelling in taxis, auto-rickshaws when their vehicle goes off-route and also share the live status of their trips with friends/family. Indian users will be able to use the new feature on their Android phones with the latest version of Google Maps.

St Xavier’s Mumbai signs MOU with TCS to launch Data Analytics course

St Xavier's College Mumbai has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with TCS to launch a master's programme in Big Data Analytics. TCS will design, train faculty and implement the postgraduate course to match industry needs. This course, MSc in Big Data Analytics, will commence in July 2019. It will be held on the college's campus and administered by the college's IT and statistics department. Industry experts will also take lectures.
